What is ResidentRx?
ResidentRx is a pharmacy service designed to support residents, families, and teams in senior living communities. Our goal is to make pharmacy services easier to understand, simpler to navigate, and better connected to the needs of residents.
How does ResidentRx work with my community?
ResidentRx works with community teams to support pharmacy needs, help coordinate information, and make the medication management process easier for residents and families.
How do I get started with ResidentRx?
Residents can get started by working with their community team to complete the appropriate onboarding paperwork and pharmacy enrollment packet. Once the information is received, ResidentRX will help coordinate prescription transfers, insurance setup, billing information, and any physician follow-up that may be required.
Will I need new prescriptions from my physician?
In most cases, no. ResidentRx will help coordinate the transfer of eligible prescriptions and work with your physician if anything additional is needed. Some prescriptions, including certain controlled medications or prescriptions with no remaining refills, may require a new prescription, which the pharmacy will help coordinate.
Does ResidentRx bill my insurance?
Yes. ResidentRx bills most major prescription insurance plans, including Medicare Part D plans and many Medicare Advantage plans. If we receive insurance details for a plan that isn't accepted or requires additional review, our pharmacy team will reach out to you and guide you through the available options. Usually, most insurance plans are accepted without any issues.
What if my medication is not covered by insurance?
If your insurance does not cover a medication, ResidentRx will work with your physician to review available options, including covered alternatives when appropriate. If a covered alternative isn't available or suitable for your situation, our team will help identify the best available cost option. They'll also explain the next steps clearly, so you're never left uncertain before any charges appear on your account.
How is my billing handled?
ResidentRx will keep your insurance and payment information on file. When an order is received, eligible prescriptions will be processed through your insurance. Co-pays and items not covered by insurance may be charged to your account, and you will receive a monthly summary statement showing any balance owed.
Is support available after hours?
Yes. ResidentRx provides 24/7 support. During standard pharmacy operating hours, support is handled by the ResidentRx pharmacy team. After hours, calls are still answered by a live person who can help address urgent pharmacy needs in real time.
